hello, we are a team of product designers, passionate about industrial design, electronics, prototyping, 3d modeling + packaging. We get excited by the ocean too.
Our Studio + Workshop is in the heart of Old Town, Poole. With views to die for, when the music is loud and coffee is on, our design team can be found in full flow. It isn’t a normal spot for a product design consultancy but then again Aetha is not a normal design consultancy.
Tom always had the vision that they would like to run, cycle and paddle board to work and that is exactly what they do. Often testing their client’s products on the way.

Our workshop in our studio is a dirty space and is there for the team to model, prototype and build products. With a range of tools, 3d printers and sewing machines on-site, the projects we undertake are varied and exciting.
-
Building a brief, and combining research from trends and inspiration, to create a foundation for ideation.
-
Conceptualisation of a broad range of solutions to solve the problem. Taking influences from the discovery stage.
-
Iterative development of the chosen concept through physical prototyping, testing and repeating.
-
Production of a detailed design dataset and communication with trusted manufacturers.
Our approach is to prototype in-house and get something in our hands as soon as possible. We work closely with clients and can take their idea from concept, to prototype and then to design for manufacture. We do not hand over your concept to a manufacturer to finish. We supply the dataset complete and work with your manufacturing partner to ensure the product is manufactured currently.
To date, we have worked with clients on: soft goods, consumer and lifestyle goods, electronic devices and various pieces of equipment in the medical, sports, children’s and entertainment sectors.
