Who is Aetha

Aetha Design is a unique product design consultancy based on the UK’s South Coast in Poole, Dorset. We push boundaries to ensure our clients experience the best product design service. We are a creative collective from a mix of design disciplines that deliver market-leading products. Our team has experience producing award winning consumer products for companies such as Dyson as well as technical products for the marine and defence industries.

The Job

Aetha Design is looking for a creative problem solver who will work on a variety of projects at every stage of the design process. We work with inventors, entrepreneur and global brands to take market defining products from concept to manufacture.

Required Skillset

  • Strong 3D CAD skills, preferably Solidworks for solid modelling and Keyshot for rendering
  • Able to solve problems creatively with mechanical knowledge
  • Strong sketching ability to demonstrate concepts
  • High level of understanding manufacturing principles including injection moulding, CNC, casting and soft goods
  • Able to design products for manufacture including being able to create engineering drawings
  • Be willing to conduct design reviews with clients and work alongside manufacturers
  • Be able to produce prototypes using in house 3D printers and hand tools
  • Strong ability to use Adobe CS
  • Ambition to lead and manage a team in the future
  • Product Design degree or similar (BA, BSc or BEng)
  • 3 years plus of relevant industry experience
